HUNTSVILLE
After a nice few days in Birmingham, we drove to Huntsville, AL. In Huntsville, we went to the US Space and Rocket Center and did a 24-hour Space Camp program before heading to Muscle Shoals. Space Camp was filled with fun interactive activities and lots of learning about space exploration and history. We went on rides that simulated heightened G-force as well as no gravity; we even launched paper rockets we built by hand. We learned about space travel, the history of the Space Race, and what it's like to be an astronaut today. We also got to see a real-life Saturn V and walk through a replica of the International Space Station. The trip to Huntsville was a fun, interactive, experiential learning experience that we will never forget!
