AUDREY
Audrey, an eighth-grade student at the Telluride Mountain School, is passionate about swimming, horseback riding, music and school. She was excited to adventure with her classmates through the deep South and learn more about the Civil Rights movement. Through her writing, you can see the passion she has for the struggles and the hardships people had to endure during this difficult time in history. While she spent time in the Atlanta, she was astonished by the empowering graffiti throughout the city. The words of the Boyntons gave Audrey a perspective about the struggles people faced to gain their rights. Audrey was profoundly affected by her experience in the South.
