USRC Adventure

The experience I had at the U.S. Space and Rocket Center is one I will never forget. The USRC contains Space Camp, which is a program lasting two days, three days, or one week. We participated in the two days, one-night program. This program gave us a basic overview of what Space Camp entails as well as taking us to most of the attractions. There were three main attractions: the G-Force, which was one of those spinning disc rides, Moon Shot, which was a Tower of Terror, and the Mars Climbing Wall.
I was also impressed by the amount of detail in the exhibits as well as the replicas of historic air and spacecraft. The three exhibits I visited were the Saturn V exhibit, the History of Space exhibit and the US Rocket Forces exhibit. All of which I found to be very interesting. My favorite exhibit was the US Rocket Forces exhibit because there was a trainer for an anti-air vehicle that you could actually use.
However, it did give the feeling of an industrial kids camp, but this may be remedied by selecting a longer program and a mission. I cannot speak on the mission, as we were not there long enough to be assigned one. The food was mediocre at best, and soggy and undercooked at worst. The whole experience was very interesting and I would give it a 7/10. I would like to go back there at some point and spend a week and undertake a mission or try one of the other programs.
