This picture is of our whole class in front of the 16th Street Baptist Church. This church was a very important part of the civil rights movement. In 1963, the KKK planted a timed bomb in the church. Later, when four little girls were walking down the stairs to church, the bomb exploded, and the four little girls very tragically died. Years later, the church has bounced back. It was amazing to go experience a service here in this historical piece of art. The 16th Street Baptist Church is an amazing place to visit with kind people and smiling faces all around.
