I drew an image of Martin Luther King Jr.’s quote at the King Institute. The quote says, “We will not be satisfied until justice rolls down like water and righteousness like a mighty stream” (King, 1965). At the memorial, this quote is engraved in tile, in the middle of the center step. There are four fountains that are constantly on; water flows down the quote to the bottom, where the graves of Martin Luther King Jr. and his wife, Coretta Scott King, lie in the pool. I drew this memorial so the text got bigger as it went further down the page, creating the illusion that it is getting closer to you.
