This picture was taken in the King Center. I chose this picture because this center was in the middle of downtown, looking at all of the city. This is important to me because it shows how MLK Jr. was the center of the movement, and it was interesting were they placed this memorial. It also shows how his movement was really important and impacted the city, because they put his memorial in the middle of the city so people would be greatly attracted to the memorial.
This picture was taken right out of downtown Atlanta on a Civil Bikes tour. I took this picture because I thought it represented how MLK Jr. lifted and carried the city through civil rights. This was because he had his hand raised and the giant city in the back. Also this is important picture because he is raising his hand like he is lifting the city and carrying it. Also, I liked how this shows how he rose to the occasion.
