BASEBALL

Shouts are coming from everywhere as we enter the baseball stadium. An intense feeling of tension fills the air as the class escalates to the top of the stadium, and the crowd waits for the next pitch. At the top of the stadium, I can see like an eagle watching the crowd's crazy and good vibes. They give me a warm feeling, making me want to get riled up like everyone else.
The smell of BBQ, hotdogs and hamburgers fills the air with a wonderful aroma! This is such a wonderful place to be on a Tuesday night after a long day of traveling. The smell of food is irresistible, tempting the hungry class to go get some southern BBQ food. As we set out to get food, I realize there is not as much BBQ as I thought; it was more of the classic baseball food like hot dogs and hamburgers. So, I get a classic-baseball-food burger.
As our group gets back from eating, we hear that the other groups got on the Jumbotron. This makes the Telluride crowd immensely more riled up. They are all cheering and saying we have just missed it, so we all decide to do the macarena dance to try and get on the screen again. Sure enough, we get on the Jumbotron! By the end of the night, the class has gotten on the Jumbotron three times.
This time at the ballpark was a really wonderful experience. It was super special because you can't go to a Major League Baseball game in Telluride and get on the Jumbotron. This was only the second time I had been to a Major League Baseball game. Another reason the game was special was because I was able to go with my class, and see the diversity that we don't get to see as much of it in Telluride. This was overall one of my favorite parts of the trip and was very exciting.
